July 21, 1979 - Eddie & the Otters at The Decade with the Hell Band. It was either this night or the 28th that I had to work 3-11 shift so Diane played the first set and I played the second. Other than that, I have no particular recollection about this show other than each time we saw the Hell Band we were less impressed.

Whatever happened those guys (The Hell Band)? I remember something about the British dude moving to LA. And, what was the bass players name? Dave? He was always a nice guy.
The bass player was Dave Rusnak, who was and is a nice guy indeed. I used to run into him occasionally when I worked downtown, and we had a lot of fun reminiscing and having a few laughs at the expense of a certain other member of the Hell Band. The last time I saw him was when Mon Gumbo opened for Marsha Ball at South Park in 2001.
